In 2020, Peter, like many others found a way to deal with the shift into the “new” landscape we were all presented. With the world seemingly grinding to a halt, Peter shifted his creative focus to working with basic fundamentals of image making. Charcoal and paper became his daily tools. This rudimentary mark making medium became his obsession.
“There something very primal about smearing burnt sticks onto pulverized tree.”
Creating oversized, compressed charcoal drawings has become part of his life now. Drawing in his visual art and graphic design studies, Peter has sold pieces internationally and continues to draw everyday.
Currently, Peter is preparing for a two person show with artist Lisa King for early 2021, as the pair work on new individual and joint works.
